Ben & Jerry are not your friend

It’s fairly well known that ice cream is my favorite food.  I can eat it by the pint.  Heck, I can eat it by the half gallon!

Before this weekend, it had been quite some time since I had partaken of this favorite food.  See, in case you can’t tell from the title of this blog, I’m in the process of returning my body to it’s leaner, stronger, healthier self (and keeping it there).

Well, my good friend Jeff was unaware of this goal, and knowing I really, really, REALLY love ice cream, wanted to buy me some.  So I of course let him do so, even telling him that Chubby Hubby was one of my favorite flavors (choclate and peanut butter swirls with little chocolate covered peanut butter pretzels… yum).

So I dug into an entire pint of my favorite ice cream.  and dug, and dug, and dug…

The 26 calorie kiss

And here’s how rumors get started.  My friend Deb says, on a public forum, that she heard someone else say that she knows a 26 calorie kiss.

At first I think, fantastic!  This is a diet and exercise program I can actually stick to!

So I figure out… to burn 1500 calories, it would take 57.69 minutes of kissing (I didn’t round… the poetry of the hundreds of a minute was too good!).  In just one hour of kissing I can wipe away most of a day’s intake of food!

Wow, and things that are hard like running at 10 miles per hour will only burn 1390 calories.

Thai Chicken Coconut Green Pepper Soup

Why not start off my new blog, which will chronicle my path to good health, with a recipe?

I make this soup often, and it only takes about 20 minutes.  It does require a little precooking.

Salsa Baked Chicken

8 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 can Herdez Salsa Casera Click here for a product pic
poultry seasoning (or other seasoning of your choosing)

Easiest chicken recipe in the world.  In a covered baking dish (I use a large flat oval corningware one) place a large package of boneless skinless chicken breasts (usually 8 in a package).  Sprinkle breasts with a little poultry seasoning, then top with the can of salsa
